Biography

Ben is a professional triathlete from the United States. He focuses on Olympic Distance Non-Drafting Triathlon, and has also spent time competing in ITU, draft-legal triathlon as part of the US National Team. A Seattle Native, Ben attended college in New York City at Columbia University, then lived in Honolulu where he started racing triathlon at the age of 22. As an upcoming professional Ben has lived at home in Seattle, at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, and is now based in Chicago’s Hyde Park neighborhood.

In 2007 Ben won the Amateur World Championships in Hamburg, Germany. After turning pro Ben has races for K-Swiss, Garmin and Hincapie has his title sponsors. In 2012 Ben attempted to make the US Olympic Team, but after falling short he turned his attention to non-draft racing, where he can exploit his cycling talents.
